Welcome to Poppies
Poppies Pre-School Nursery based in Laurencekirk, Aberdeenshire offers exceptionally high quality childcare in a safe, stimulating and caring environment where children can play, grow and learn.
We are advocates of outdoor play and our extensive garden allows children the autonomy to lead their learning through various play opportunities such as, engaging in risky play and loose parts, gardening, caring for our hens and nature-based activities.

We were delighted to once again be nominated for the Nursery World Awards 2024 – on this occasion, for Nursery of the Year! To be the only Scottish Nursery of the shortlisted four from the whole of the U.K was a great honour! We are so proud that Poppies continues to be recognised for our contribution to providing the best possible learning environment and opportunities for the children in our care.
On our last inspection we received another excellent report.
